Houlin Zhang
Houlin Zhang, at the age of 11, is a young pianist fueled by a deep passion for music. Beginning his musical journey at the age of four, he quickly immersed himself in the world of piano performance. By the age of six, he had already showcased his talent through his first solo piano concert, marking the beginning of a promising musical career.
Over the years, Houlin has demonstrated unwavering dedication to his craft, participating in numerous competitions and achieving notable success. His accolades include the Gold Award at the National Final Exhibition of Young Artists of the Central Conservatory of Music in November 2020, as well as the Gold Award at the National Final Exhibition of the 2021 IMAARTS Music and Arts Festival in February 2021. Additionally, he received the Preliminary Competition Prize at the Fourth Liszt International Youth Piano Competition in April 2022, and he was honored with the Gold Award at the National Final Exhibition of the 2022 Qingpei Art Exhibition in February 2023. Furthermore, he excelled in the Fourth Liszt International Youth Piano Competition China Selection Competition, earning another prestigious award.
Guiding Houlin on his musical journey is Tu Bei, an accomplished musician and educator. Tu Bei serves as an associate professor and graduate supervisor at Jilin Academy of Arts, where she is currently pursuing her doctoral studies. Under her mentorship, Houlin continues to refine his skills and expand his musical horizons.
With a steadfast commitment to music and a desire for continuous growth, Houlin looks forward to furthering his musical education at the Tianjin Juilliard School, a branch of one of the world's top music colleges. He is eager to immerse himself in a diverse musical environment, learning from renowned faculty and fellow students who share his passion for music.
Houlin's journey is fueled by his love for music and his determination to excel, and he remains poised to make a significant impact in the world of piano performance.
